Rough week
This week didn't start out real well. Tuesday morning I got up to run my lactate threshold run from last week. During my 2 mile warmup I felt like I needed a recovery day, but I still tried to get in the get in the LT run. After about 1/2 mile I had serious abdominal cramps. I slowed back down and struggled to finish 5 miles. I felt progressively worse throughout the day and went to bed early. I felt the extra sleep would be better than trying to force Wednesday's run. I did the scheduled recovery run on Thursday and another one on Friday. I was going to do Friday's scheduled run on Saturday, but I got a late start and felt that forcing the 12 miler would have had an adverse affect on today's long run so I decided to only do 7. Today's 18 miler was very draining. My legs are a little sore tonight. I ended up with 40 miles for the week out of the 62 scheduled. I'm looking forward to a much better week next week.
