Better week so far
After struggling through most of last week and having a hard time finishing my 18 miler on Sunday, I was starting to have doubts about this whole marathon thing. Yesterday was 10 miles with 10x100m strides and today was 13 miles and I felt pretty good during both runs. There's still over 16 weeks until Vermont City and I shouldn't be overly concerned about 1 week when I wasn't feeling well.
Thursday - 5 mile recovery. Friday was supposed to be 12 miles but I crawled back in bed twice but couldn't get back to sleep. By the time I finally gave up on trying to get back to sleep, it was too late to get in 12 miles before work so I only did 8. Saturday - 5 mile recovery. I had too much on Sunday and didn't want to try to stress over trying to cram in a 19 miler, so I took the day off and moved my long run to Monday. Total mileage for the week was 41.
Summary for January - weeks of 61, 49, 57 and 40 and a total of 217 for the month.
