Rearranging the schedule again
Monday after work, I did last weeks long run. I took my mandatory break at 11 miles, but other than that I didn't stop or slow down. I finished the 19 miles, but I was pushing myself to keep going. My calves were sore and the left one was worse. I did my normal quarter mile cool down and then did another quarter mile slightly slower to work things out a little. I took Tuesday off - my left knee and hip are a little sore, but I don't think it's anything to be concerned about.
I'm going to change my schedule for the rest of the week because I don't want to overdo it seeing as I'm going to have 2 long runs within 7 days. I'm planning on doing a 5 mile recovery day tomorrow followed by the runs that were originally scheduled for Tue (10 miles, 5 @ LT) and Wed (14 miles) and then back to the scheduled runs (5 mile recovery and 20 mile long run). That will give me 73 miles for the week. If my knee is still sore after tomorrow's recovery run, then I'll probably do another recovery run and not push it during the week.
