Week 10 recap

Tuesday's run ended up being a little too much for me after the 71 miles the week before. I'm looking forward to when the schedule changes to recovery runs on Tuesdays in two more weeks. The schedule called for 9 miles with 10x100m strides. I ended up only doing 6 of the strides and 7 miles total. 11 miles with no problems on Wednesday. I wanted to try to make up the 2 miles from Tuesday so I decided to add 1 mile to both of my recovery days so I did 6 miles on Thursday. Friday wasn't a good running day. I had serious stomach issues and ended stopping after 4 miles. I thought I would run the other 7 miles that night, but I still had cramps and decided to just call it a day. Since my mileage for the week was shot, I did the scheduled 5 mile recovery run on Saturday and 14 miles on Sunday without any issues. Total miles for the week was 47.


Tomorrow's another 5 mile lactate threshold run/10 miles total. Two weeks ago I did the LT portion at 8 mph. I'll see how I feel during my warm up but I think I'll probably bump it up to 8.1.
