Week 18 recap
Sometimes it's difficult enough to find time to do my runs. As you can see I'm further behind than usual in updating my blog. I spent the last half of last week fighting of a cold. Nothing major... I didn't miss any runs or have to cut any runs short. The week started well with an 11 mile run on Tuesday. Wednesday was 10 miles w/5x1000m at 6:59 pace with a 2 minute jog in between. Thursday was an 8 mile recovery run. This was a little strange because most recovery runs are 4 to 6 miles. It was also the only scheduled recovery run for the week. Most weeks have 2 or more recovery runs.
Friday was a late night. I started my 11 mile run at about 9:15. Saturday was 7 miles with 6x100m strides. Sunday was another marathon pace long run. I did 2 miles warm up and then 14 miles at 7:47 pace and 1 mile cool down. The pace was comfortable and I didn't have any problems. Total of 64 miles for the week.
